iD.EOLOGY - new designs and structures for our website

After lots of different blueprints, designs and strucures Sir Pinski made a new and totally different concept for our coming webpage. The menu was planned to be a 3D-city designed in lightwave, which you can rotate via flash in your browser. The different buildings are meant to be the menu-topics, a quite futuristic and very huge and complex concept. But, as Sir Pinski wasn´t the guy to make backups during that time, it was a big sad, fat kickback when his harddrive broke up after some months of hard work and nearly everything was lost. So after the work from months couldn´t be saved or reconstructed, our page shouldn´t get online until summer 2003, when we decided to bring it on with the help of moritz sauer (phlow.de), who offered us a small and comfort programming to help bringing our first official releases online.

Volker Tripp teams up

Volker Tripp now also starts writing first texts for us. His early exposé for a label-introduction is this:

iDEOLOGY

ideology: manner of thinking, ideas, characteristic of a person, group etc, esp as forming the basis of an economics and politics. We just want to infect your soul and spread all over your system like some sort of highly contageous virus. Overgrow your brain like a mushroom. In fact, as you are reading this, the number of our devoted brainwashed followers is growing rapidly.

So, what is it we´re selling? Or, is there actually anything we are selling in the first place? The answer is "no" because we aren´t salesmen. The aforementioned manner of thinking is more of our trade. Ideologies come in hundreds, if not thousands or more. They appear and disappear like styles of music. What both, ideologies and styles of music, have in common is that they open up a certain angle from which to view or contemplate thoughts and sounds. Integrate an ideology into your personality and your altered way of thinking will make a whole new reality spread out in front of you. But don´t get us wrong - weé not going to supply you with one certain perspective or one certain style of music here. That´s quite beside our point. The point rather is to demonstrate how ideologies work and that the more perspectives you have tried for yourself, the broader will your understanding of your environment be.

So if you asked us what our ideology is, the answer is pretty simple: iDEOLOGY.

iD.EOLOGY

As some of their friends and also themselves doing some music and visuals arts, Jörg "Monsieur J." Friedrichs and Christian "Sir Pinski" Sierpinski decide to build up a collective/label in the early days of the millenium, to publish parts of that output. It´s not about a special genre, but on interesting and high-quality stuff. Artists are Oddjob, Konsumkinder, Smartbrain and Yakitorih on the musical side, Pevy, René Rothmann, One!man and Sir Pinski are responsible for the visual output.
